Faith Formation

We have a very active Sunday School program with more than 30 students. The aim of the Sunday School is to give our children a foundation in Catholic Church’s teachings. This includes prayers, sacraments, scriptures, Catholic Church’s traditions, teaching from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and an understanding of the different rites within the Catholic Church. Special classes are conducted for preparing the children for the sacraments of first Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Currently, pre-school to 12th grade classes is offered. We have appropriate textbooks designed and approved by the Syro-Malabar Church for each grade. We conduct class quizzes and annual tests. The class timing is from 03.15 PM to 04:15 PM on Sundays. Sunday School children read the scriptures for the Mass as well as serve as altar boys
